Into the Deep II
Out in the deep, the water surrounding me like peaking mountains. In the early days I needed to come up for air, often. By October 2021, a few months after I started open water swimming, I was still mixing freestyle with breath stroke with doggy paddling, as I tried to swim out between the poles off the shoreline, keeping up with the other swimmers. There were days of calm, and days when the water was mountainous and marvellous, as seen here.
