Deep Blue
It’s now January 2022 and I’ve been open water swimming for 8 months. The water is much warmer as is the outside temperature (I started at the beginning of our winter!) That means I can swim and bob in the water for much longer, and really take in the vast surrounds. The rippling, rising water, the looking clouds, and the deep knowledge that I am one with nature. When I look at this, I want to jump into the deep again and again and again, immersing myself in the weightless, cool waters, open to the mystery of what lays beneath the water, and grateful that I am part of this beautiful, natural world.
