Reflecting on my chat with Grubby on 3AW

It was an absolute pleasure to join Peter Stubbs - AKA ‘Grubby’ - on 3AW to discuss Immerse—a book that has become so much more than a collection of photographs and stories. Our conversation touched on the deep sense of connection that open water swimming fosters, the power of storytelling, and the way Immerse has resonated with readers across Australia and beyond.

Grubby’s enthusiasm made for a fantastic discussion, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share the journey of Immerse with a wider audience. We also spoke about my author talk in Apollo Bay with Karen O’Sullivan, former Channel 7 reporter and the owner of Great Ocean Reads, where I continued to celebrate the stories that make this community so special.

For those who tuned in, thank you for listening! I look forward to many more conversations about the beauty of our bay, and the bonds it creates.

If you missed the conversation, you can still tune in! The full 20-minute interview is available to listen to—just click the link below. So grab a cuppa, settle in, and enjoy as we chat about Immerse, the beauty of storytelling, and the power of community, connection and care through open water swimming.

A big thank you to Grubby and to Karen, again!
